Horizon Forge: Updates of version v1.2

There are already many improvements implemented since version 1.2, but I'd like to share the game's evolution with you, my friends. A new post with more information is coming soon!

Improvements v1.2

Phew, the mobile version of the game is finally out! What a lot of work it was, but I'm immensely happy about it! Progress always!

I've already uploaded the version to production, done some tests, and everything seems to be working! But I'm counting on the help of my friends in the community to do a battery of tests and see if everything is okay, without bugs in the game's mechanics or visuals.

First, I found the following error: when logging in for the first time and not yet authenticating through the keychain extension, this error was occurring. You enter your username, the keychain opens and asks for your password, you authenticate, but on the way back, a network error appeared.

After a thorough investigation by Claude, the problem was solved.

This is the initial layout of the game in its mobile version. The screenshot might not be the best because I was testing it in a browser, using DevTools to simulate a mobile screen and see how it looked.

A bug I found and requested a fix for: when there are no more gold/actions that can be done, the recruitment tab should close and automatically open the barracks, but since rerolling (buying a new batch of cards) costs 2 gold, the game interpreted that some action could still be taken.

The problem is that in this scenario (we have 2 gold), rerolling, which costs exactly 2 gold, doesn't make sense because after that you're left with 0 gold, meaning you won't be able to buy any cards. In this situation, the game will advance to the tents tab, so you can organize your team if you want and proceed with the battle.

That's all for now. Now I need more matches so we can test if everything is working. Mechanics, visuals, frames, battles with bots and players, I believe everything is okay, but every test counts!

My next focus will still be improving the visuals of the game in its mobile version, trying not to make it so blocky, and for that I will study how mobile games currently build their layout.

After that, I'm deciding between adding at least two new heroes or building the Shop mechanic/flow, which will involve buying cosmetics with the $hive token. The game's guidelines are no NFT and no layer 2 tokens, so if you want to change the game's visuals (backgrounds, skins, etc.), you'll buy those items with $hive tokens, so as long as the game exists, these items are meant to be yours.

Until next time, everyone! Stay tuned for updates!
