Gold Inc. is a game on Google Play Store made by Sapphire Studios LLC. The game is simple “mine gold.” The gold that you mine in the game is able to be traded for GXB Polygon cryptocurrency.
I will explain the game first and then I will discuss my frustration. I absolutely love this game and would love to continue to play it so long as I could cash my gold out and get the GXB into my wallet. If you are not interested in the game but think you might be able to help me please jump to the last few paragraphs.
To play the game, you begin as a level 1 settlement and you have several buildings that you have inside your settlement that has specific purposes. The highest level obtainable is level 30 and this is based on your office level. You have to upgrade each building in a specific order and once all of those buildings are upgraded you can start on the next level of upgrades. (office, refinery, barracks, weapon depot, exploration depot, transportation depot, fence/defense)
You also have 3 types of mining equipment: excavators, dump trucks, and wash plants. Any piece of mining equipment can be upgraded to level 50 after you purchase it so long as you can cover the cash cost. As you level up the office building you unlock stronger mining equipment. As before after you purchase your newer stronger equipment you can increase their level to 50.
Sounds simple so far. But then you add in that you can purchase special forces, vehicles, and militia in order to attack other people’s settlements and defend your settlement. You are able to put up a defensive shield as long as you have them in your inventory. If you do not, then you will be attacked over and over again. So this makes this game a war game as well as a mining game.
If you are attacked and if you are defeated all of the militia are killed. If your special forces or vehicles are defeated then you will have to wait until they heal or are repaired. You can also get speed ups in the game in order to hurry this process along.
You must join an alliance. If you do not join an alliance you will not gain extra rewards. This brings on a social game and most alliances will require you to be online and helpful to the alliance. Some alliances will boot a person out if they do not log in enough times in a week.
Alliances will have competitors. Therefore, there will be alliance wars. Even the strongest alliances have people attacking them but you will want to be in the toughest and strongest allience possible.
There are air drops and UFOs that are not controlled by players that can be attacked by a settlement. When your troops get to the air drop or UFO it begins a count down and you must hold that position until the time runs out to collect the reward. There are others who will attack the air drop or UFO in order to kill or injure your troops and to keep you from obtaining the rewards.
There are oil fields and trade centers that are controlled by players. A person can station their troops inside either of these buildings. A trade center will provide cash to the person holding the trade center and will provide cash to the rest of the alliance so long as the player selects the share option. The oil fiends will deliver oil to your settlement each time you click on the refinery buillding inside your settlement. Of course any troops that you leave in these buildings will be attacked and regardless of how large your army is it will be defeated eventually. This means that you have to decide how you will defend the positions and with how many troops.
You can test the ground and check to see just how many holes you can dig per mine site by clicking report. The lowest is 3 holes and the maximum is 12 holes. If you test the ground and it has enough holes you can peg the mine site. You will want a minimum of 10 holes. Once you peg the mine site you click on the mine and it will take you into the selected mine. This is where you can place the mining equipment (excavators, dump trucks, and a wash plant). You give the mine site fuel and give the workers time to mine.
Fuel and worker time is found by attacking and maintaining air drops and UFOs until the time runs out. They can be rewards from watching ads inside the game. Fuel can be made from the oil received by maintaining control of oil fields. Fuel can be given as rewards by other alliance members.
If you run out of worker time or fuel you can not continue to mine. Mining is the fastest way to get cash by the sale of the resources you find while mining. Mining will provide both metals and gems.
Metals and gems can be sold to a trade station and the owner of the trade center will get a commission from your sale and as I stated before if selected so will everyone in the owner’s alliance. If you or your alliance owns it then you will get the commission from your own sale.
Instead of selling the metals or gems you can make guns, armor, and ammo to equip your special forces and increase their attack (dpi) and health (hp).
The one metal that cannot be sold to the trade center is gold. Gold is what is traded for real cryptocurrency. Gold can also be made into guns.
This is a simplified explanation of the game. The game is challenging, fun, and could be rewarding IF I only knew how to connect my MetaMask wallet to it or if I knew of another exchange that had the Polygon GXB token..
I watched a YouTube video about importing a custom token on MetaMask but I could only get so far. I do not have an address for GXB. I am guessing that I have to know the GXB address before MetaMask can assign me with my own individual address? This is where I am lost and frustrated. I do not want to put in an address and then send all of my GXB to another person’s wallet. Now that would be horrible. A YouTube video said to go to a website that had a list of these addresses so I went to the one listed and checked and GXB was not listed on there.
