Google Sheets Hodl Dashboard

Google Sheets Hodl Dashboard

Hi friends-

This is an update from a post I did some time ago where I shared the dashboard I built in Google Sheets for Bitcoin.   I've added a few things and thought it would be a good time for an update.   As a reminder, I'm not a trader but a long-term HODLR that prefers to add to my position strategically.  To help inform my timing, I built a handful of analytics that update automatically in Google Sheets and that I glance at daily.   Below the picture, I explain what is included here.

One of the things I've learned through 20+ years of investing:  Investment strategies work until they don't.  And sometimes they start working again.  Because of that, I like looking at an array of analytics to help inform my decision making in a more holistic manner.   The dashboard includes a mix of backward looking artifacts of history and forward looking forecasts.  These include:

-Moving averages (50 day and 200 day)

-StratVal, a proprietary oscillator that looks at risk adjusted returns relative to their own history

-Historic drawdowns

-50 Day Rolling volatility

-50 Day RSI  (Compare this vs. the Stratval....much more nuance in Stratval)

-2 Stdev bands (Similar to Bollinger Bands)

-Plan B's Stock to Flow Forecast

-A Log Regression Forecast

In summary, its pretty amazing what you can do with a free service like Google Sheets.  Hopefully this helps to inspire you to create your own dashboard. If anyone has any ideas for things to add to this, please let me know in the comments!  As always, this is not investment advice so please do your own research.

Cheers,
