tldr:

• Over 100+ players in Season 10 in Axie Origins

• Snake Jar Turnip still the most dominant

• Fury Aggro and Earwing Wing Horn still the most popular in Challenger

Player Base Statistics

Over 100k players in Axie Origins this Season and we are only in Epic Era. As usual a trimodal distribution with most players in Boar. About a third of the players are in Egg and Chick. Over 18000 players at Tiger or above with 2500+ players in Challenger already.

Archetype Usage

Overall archetype usage

Turns out, Snake Jar Turnip is still the most dominant archetype in the Erpic Era this Season. NOte that only 9 matches were played at 2300+ VStar in Days 10-12 of the Epic Era.

Besides Snake Jar Turnip, we see Earwing Wing Horn (AoE / Feather) and Fury Aggro at 2200-2300 alongside a Turnip Topaz team which has fallen back down to 2100-2200 at the time of writing. Jinx, Sleep Poison, (non-Sleep) Poison, Shield, Pure Damage, and Feather Fan can also be seen at 2100-2200 VStar.

Archetype Win Rates and Matchups

Similar to the archetype usage data. Main thing is the Snake Jar Turnip is still too strong. I expect Snake Jar should get a nerf as it has way too much value, especially played early game it is very hard to counter.

Archetype Matchups

Hopefully the matchup data is useful in chossing what archetype you want to play. Pretty much every single archetype has some form of weakness and it all depends on what you want to be good against, and of course we play style you like. If you prefer very polarising matchups, I suggest playing Shield (Sustain). If you prefer more even matchups, perhaps you can try Anemone or Jinx though Anemone is not doing the best currently.

Conclusion

Looking forward to the Mystic Era where we will should see more strategies with the Mystic Runes. Let see if Snake Jar Turnip, Earwing Wing Horn, and Fury Aggro will still be the most dominant in the Mystic Era.
