Geomining on the COIN app is a lot of fun. If you’re an active person and do a lot of driving you can drastically increase the number of tiles you can mine every day by the hundreds. But did you know that you can also use this Geomining app to promote your referral links?
I first realized this when I was driving. Apparently, someone had left a Geodrop on a tile that I passed through on the highway. Once I got to my location and checked the app I found the drop alert. It was worth 66 coins and was a short blurb about a new metaverse and their referral link.
This sparked my interest so I went into the app and read the rules for placing Geodrops. It said that you can post any message including links but are to refrain obviously from any hate speech, threats, and vulgar messages and links.

The article went on to say that the feature can be used in any number of ways such as advertising a new shop downtown or connecting with other users in your area. It even mentioned using the Geodrop feature to introduce users to other websites.
It is super easy to place a Geodrop either locally or on any random tile on the planet. The fee is the reward you'll be giving for claiming the drop that comes out of your coin balance.
It's a cool idea, and with the number of users, I notice in each of the areas I'm in if you wanted to promote a downtown store or coffee shop you would definitely see some new faces browsing around in your store. You could even give them a message to come up to the counter and let them know they are there for the drop and get a surprise.
I decided to give it a try and dropped like 7 in random places like the Mcdonalds drive through. I've had 3 or 4 picked up but sadly you only get a receipt of the pickup letting you know a user claimed it but it doesn't say which Geodrop was claimed. The only way to do that is to mark each amount and the location on paper to reference later on.
There is also a nice feature that allows any drops that are not collected to be recalled and put back into your coin balance.
Overall, I think the ability to use the Geodrop feature is very useful, especially for business owners to increase their walk-in traffic and find customers they may not have normally found.
I definitely think you should download it and give it a shot if you're looking for another place to find new referrals, especially if it is an earnings or rewards type of site as the users are already interested in the topic.
