At the same time, Wirex announced that it plans to launch 26 stablecoins on its platform, based on fiat currencies, including the US dollar, the euro, the British pound, the Hong Kong dollar, and the Singapore dollar. The great diversity of stablecoins by Wirex will help to send money quickly across countries, without the need for local liquidity providers.

Stellar plays a role for Wirex because these stablecoins will work on its blockchaine. In particular, Stellar was selected for scalability and real-time capability. At the same time, Wirex adds the XLM Stellar token as a supported cryptocurrency .
