Last year, Weiss Ratings, the first rating agency to allocate ratings to cryptocurrencies , published new ratings of 122 projects under review.

EOS, XRP, Bitcoin and Binance Coin were the best in the overall ranking. All received a rating of "B-". In the top ten, Litecoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Stellar, NEO, and Tron were still ranked "C +". This assessment should take into account the potential risk of investing in these cryptocurrencies as it is a new market and the risk of losses is still high. That is why no cryptocurrency got better rating than "B-".

The rest of the order consisted of a further 27 cryptocurrencies , which received a C (fair) rating, 75 cryptocurrencies with a D (weak) and 16 E (very weak). Bitcoin had a rating of "C +" in the previous ranking, with the agency's jump to "B-" explaining the progress of the Lightning Network.

However, the general rating is not the only one published yesterday by the agency. She also decided to publish the ranking of the top 10 cryptocurrencies in terms of technology and adaptation, without affecting whether the cryptocurrency investment would be rewarded with profit. In this respect, the cryptocurrencies XRP, EOS and Bitcoin, which received the "A" rating, were the best. They are followed by Ethereum with an "A-" rating. Cardano, Steem, NEO, Zcash, Litecoin and Stellar conclude the top ten with a rating (B +).

As the winner of the ranking, XRP has great potential for banks, where it can compete with SWIFT specializing in international payments. EOS is said to be closest to becoming a leader in decentralized Ethereum applications.
