For The Birds is an original series of pixel art featuring birds of the world.
Proceeds are donated to the World Land Trust, an organization that protects rainforest around the world. 130GBP has been donated already!

For The Birds is growing. Nesting is a katamari type game in development that leverages blockchain tech for authorization and world building. Roll up stuff to make the biggest nest you can.

It's only been a week since release, but there are a handful of updates and no need to wait. I wont be able to do updates every week, but still makes you wonder what's taking those other games so long to get anywhere. 

Changelog

• You can now select the bird you want to use from the NFTs you own.
• Several new things are in the game for rolling up
• There was some bad math that's been fixed. Some size calculations are continuing to be re-balanced.
• Scripts improved for better frame rate.
• Shaders were simplified for better frame rate.
• Playtimes increased for most birds
• You can pause with the p button! It's safe to walk away now.
• Pause Menu now has quality options for older/slower machines. First up is Shadows.
• A few colliders are better fit.

Up Next

• Need to keep working on optimizations and quality options. Web games can be tough, but most computers will be able to handle this.
• Leaderboards! Be the best and prove it!
• Better system for assigning weights/volumes. 
• More stuff!

Reminder

• The bird NFTs are keys to play. If you don't own any birds, the game wont load. No worries though currently you can buy birds from the official drops for as low as 3 WAX (33cents at the time of writing this). On the market you can find some even cheaper.
• The Species (template id) is used as a level seed. Each bird species gets a different level. Currently differences are minor, but will become more dramatic as development continues. By using the same bird, you can still have fair competition for leaderboards, etc..
• The conservation status controls play time. Rarer birds can play longer, allowing you to get bigger during the game and roll up even more stuff.
