Sending USDT Using The TRC20 Network (With Ease)

By FIP Crypto | The Footprint Formula | 21 Mar 2023

I used to think that sending funds using the Tron TRC20 network would be rather straightforward, but it turns out that there is actually some slight technicalities that are different from other networks like Ethereum.

Here's a guide on withdrawing TRC20 tokens like USDT from Ledger to another address on the Tron network, especially if you encounter the 'Out Of Energy' error.

It has become a bit complicated after the latest Tron governance proposal, and you may need to pay higher gas fees if you do not stake (freeze) any TRX.

Staking TRX helps you to earn energy, which is required to process transactions on the Tron network. Otherwise, you would need to pay the remaining amount of energy in the form of TRX tokens.
