Beware Headline Readers
Do you know or are you a Headline Reader?
The media and Government count on you just reading the headlines and going back to your distractions or life escapes! Their approach is almost as if that is headline readers can handle, then they assume the rest of the story. Are we a nation of ADHD suffering fools? One of the latest stats, shows we have attention space of 5-seconds. That trait alone doesn't lend itself to deep and logical thinking.
Do you know why this is impactful?
Take the Governments Monthly Job Posting data, IF a headline reader would take these values at face value (as they were released) they would be mislead at the truth health of an economy. Take for example the snippet I inserted below, the past 10 out of the 11 months jobs data have been REVISED Lower! Does that signal strength, not even on Mars! Then to make matters even worse 6 out of the 11 were re-revised even lower, the one outlier was July '23 was re-revised higher than original data. One month is hardly a case to celebrate things getting better. Would you agree?

Well more bad news, I know you saw thousands of MSM headlines last year spewing how resilient the US Consumer was and how it was just a matter of time before home sales picked back up? Does the below Case-Shiller chart from 1987 thru 2022 look like any of those headlines make sense?
Specifically I want to understand how a severe decline (far right downward slope it magically going to rise from the ashes even as Mortgage Rates rose)?

Thus far I have provided only two (2) macro-economic values of headliner readers falling for pure misdirection. So I have to ask is ignorance really bliss? Why do people fear the truth? Or is it they just do not want to get involved to make this circus better?
Am I the only one think that 2024 being an Election year, that the real economic Truth being released wont happen. How can this not impact election outcomes? Again is ignorance bliss?
