I’m sure familiar with the movie The Wizard of Oz.
It was a classic when I was younger, and it still is to this day.
And like the film, I appreciate things that are TIMELESS.
And there’s one part of this movie that stuck out to me…
Dorothy gets whisked away in a Tornado...
When she arrives in Oz, she looks around and says to her dog... “Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”
All of a sudden, the Good Witch of the North comes down from the sky. After seeing this, Dorothy adjusts her first statement to, “Now I know we’re not in Kansas!!”
What’s the wisdom that hit me smack dab in the face?
It’s this…
THINGS CHANGE… FAST!
And when it comes to business, we are now witnessing a retail tornado, or apocalypse, even.
We’ve seen the fall of big-box retail chains get annihilated because they didn’t change fast enough…
Blockbuster, Sears, Toys R Us, the list goes on and on.
And with a crisis like this comes opportunity as well.
In this case?
It’s an opportunity for the “little guy”.
You see, being little gives you one distinct advantage…
Agility.
You don’t have all the bureaucratic BS, so you can moooovvee FAST and get things done while big companies are having 100 meetings before they can make a decision.
My point?
If you’ve ever thought about making some extra money…
If you’ve ever thought about starting your own business…
If you’ve ever thought about doing something where you can work from home…
One of THE BEST opportunities out there, that works for the “little guy”, happens to be selling physical products online.
But…
There is a right and a wrong way to do it.
