Nowadays, with the advancement of technology, electronics have become essential. One example is the cell phone, which has basically become a computer in the palm of the user's hand. Everything that you previously needed a computer to do, such as accessing emails, editing text or video, making online purchases, accessing browsers, watching videos, movies and series, can now be done through a cell phone with internet access. However, cell phones can go beyond these "computer activities," performing many more functions, such as basic phone functions like making calls and sending text messages.
Furthermore, several functions are better executed on a smartphone, such as receiving notifications and reminders – even if they aren't always interesting – accessing social networks, and watching a quick video. All these functionalities and many others are present in a small electronic device called a cell phone. The possibility of taking it with you anywhere and having access to all of this has made cell phones fundamental to the point of being considered a basic necessity for anyone.
Finally, there's the issue of these cell phones being used as work tools by many people, whether by having an account on a social network about a specific niche and trying to sell products to earn extra income, or as a way to communicate with the team at work, or even for creating professional content, with editing and posting.

This situation is complicated because even a simple phone today, with the latest features, is quite expensive, and there's not much you can do about it. The prices of more modern devices used to tend to decrease over time, but current tariff wars and disruptions to the global supply chain make it difficult for countries to obtain resources, such as minerals, at prices similar to those of the past. Furthermore, there's the whole situation with Artificial Intelligence companies making massive purchases of RAM and GPUs, causing an increase in the price of these items and companies shifting their production to AI-focused equipment, making everyday devices like cell phones more expensive.
In addition, there's no longer the option of choosing a "simple phone." As apps and games become more complex and feature-rich, they end up consuming more space over time, requiring users to use more memory to store them and more processing power and RAM to run them. This has the consequence that the demand for more technology, in a context of global difficulties, leads to higher prices.
