Suffer with Stadia for free

After a monumentally failed launch filled with accessibility, technological and price problems, Google decided to release Stadia for free along with a few titles to make up for the crappy mess they've made on launch.

They say it's because they want to offer something people can use to spend their time at home, but that cannot possibly be so since, well, everyone was disgusted by Stadia. PR marketing at it's best.

Initially supporting only Chromecast Ultra-compatible devices and Google's own phones, developers have since realized nobody is going to buy a laptop just for the technically flawed Stadia, so they've expanded the list a bit. Check it out here but don't be surprised if yours isn't there.

But I'm not sure if trying it is worth your time at all. In my opinion, the only reason Google hasn't killed Stadia yet is out of the obvious corporate shame that would ensue. They seem to think repeating "we'll get there, we always do" will make any difference - as if we have forgotten how Google Plus turned out.

SteamWorld Dig 2 is one of the titles they're freely offering now, so if you want to see how the game's extremely positive reviews feel like a balantat lie, start it up on Stadia.

If you really want to give it a run, Google Stadia is available in the following countries: U.S., Canada, the U.K., Belgium, France, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, and Denmark.
