Personal Impactful Events of 2020. Did I learn from my mistakes.

Let's highlight the impactful events of 2020 for me as an individual.

Event 1: March Stock Market Crash. This caused me to panic and feel the first negative swing in traditional investment.

Event 2: International Travel is cancelled. This event cause both an emotional drought as well as a monetary opportunity. It brought forth new money I could use to invest in the black Swan even that was the March crash.

Event 3: Selling Crypto to cover my margin due to temporary paper losses. Beeing greedy and an extreme risk taker led me to having my portfolio at risk due to margin. I was forced to sell and while it was a sad day I can say I feel much better today.

Event 4: My first Options experience and taking risks for greater profit. At this point in time I knew the market was was recovering and had to start looking at both recovery stocks as well as stocks that could benefit from the current conditions.

Event 5: Loosing over 15k due to a contract expiring. Once again another experience that sucks but makes me grateful for the learning opportunity.

Event 6: The comeback of Boeing and the comeback of my portfolio. My portfolio is now in the green and I am once again taking risks. I am no longer doing short term risks and have contracts that are leaps and have plenty of time to show the gains I expect from certain companies.

Through these six major events I learned patience, controlling greed, as well as the mental fortitude it takes to make risks and not lose focus. I expect to improve in the coming year when it comes to my stock portfolio and I expect to enjoy the crypto gains that will come in 2021 from this bullish cycle.

While I have had many losses throughout this year I have also had wins that have helped me recover and have a higher than 50% return rate to this point. Not great but definitely good since I've gained plenty of experience with the few bad decisions I've made.
