This one's a bit of a hard topic for me. I've never been one to talk crypto with friends too much but recently I began to speak out a bit more and I want to let others know my experience when speaking crypto to friends and loved ones.
Family:
When it comes to family I can say I have only really helped my sister get involved with crypto a bit and only at a very small scale. She started her journey in investing this year after the Black Swan event and started to trust me as to what type of investments to make for her future. I helped her invest in both BTC and ETH. As of today she is happy with her invested risk and 8 will continue to guide her as she continues her journey.
Friends:
On the friends sector I feel that I have been a bot more successful even without thinking about it. I myself was first introduced to bitcoin from a friend during my college days.
I introduced one of my closest friends to crypto in 2019 through coinbase. Since then he didn't do much but after some time and constant communication he made his first investment into crypto himself. He always tries to get my advice and he will be one of the first to know when I make big moves on my crypto holdings. It's definitely the best relationship I have that includes friends and crypto.
I have also helped one particular friend get into crypto by helping him claim his bovada winnings in crypto. Initially he had no idea how to handle crypto but as of now he will also be getting a coinbase account to deal with his future winnings from sports gambling. That may be a different reason to get into crypto but if it helps it helps.
The third friend is another friend from college that I roomed with for a year. He got himself into crypto on his own but we both became closer knowing we each believed in the future of crypto.
Thinking about it I don't have many friends with whom I can talk crypto but four people can still make a difference. How many people do you personally know and how many have you influenced while growing within the crypto community?
