In the last couple of weeks NBA Top Shot got a lot of attention in the Crypto and in the NBA community. It is like a trading card game but with digital video clips of NBA Highlights.
Market Crash
If we take a look at the NBA Top Shot marketplace then we can say that it is definitely not looking good for those who have invested in base moments. Season 1 and Season 2 moments are down about 35% over the last week and the market does not look like it is about to recover. I personally think that there is no reason for moments to rise again as the interest in Sets is not that big and due to the pack drops there is more and more supply and less and less demand, because new Sign-Ups are still disabled. These Sign-Ups can and will be an immersive game changer, but nobody knows when they are enabled again.

Pre-Orders
During the last week there was a Pre-Order Packdrop, which means that for 3 days every customer could go and buy a pack which they will receive about 2 weeks later. There were more than 325,000 packs sold, which equals 975,000 new moments to be packed. This number is incredible and could really cause a market crash that will be bigger than the one of this week. I am definitely concerned about the stability of the market.
Pack Drops
In addition to the Pre-Orders there were also two packdrops, the "Series 2, Base Set Release 25 & 26". For these drops they tried out a new method as they dropped two packs for the same queue, so there were 2 x 25,000 packs, which means that 50,000 customers got a pack. Even though many people (including me) did not get a pack we cannot complain about "too few packs".
That's about it for this week, thanks for reading!
