Recently there were fake news articles released all over instagram, facebook, youtube, and articles with no credibility that have stated that xrp had recently gotten its own etf.
This is completely fake; XRP did not get its own etf. I know this is a dissapointment but it's reality. The price has already began plumetting downwards; I wonder what whale had enough time on their hands to create all of this fake buzz for a 12% increase in price?
My guess is a hedgefund but there's no real way to tell.
Imagine if your crypto project had fallen subject to such a whale? Crazy how vulnerable the whole market is just because of the fact that the majoritty of all crypto users are simply following the news. I mean; the fact that the price is standing stable is a good thing. I see it as an absolute upside but still; this shows us just what the flaws in the market are. We are the flaw.
Regardless, just double check all the news you see; don't fall prey to these sorts of attacks; just don't be dumb.
If you're ever purchasing crypto, purchase it for the long-term. Not the short-term.
