The Ordinary Life of a Trader

The Ordinary Life of a Trader

I wake up in the morning, check the news. OP buyback proposal—looks good. Scan through the details, consider the implications. No immediate effect on price action. Will see how it plays out over the next few sessions.

Coffee in hand, I pull up the charts. Look at the RSI over 4 hours. POL sitting above 80, clearly overbought territory. The momentum's been strong, but at these levels, a pullback feels inevitable. I decide to short it on Hyperliquid: https://app.hyperliquid.xyz/join/CRYPTOFAB

Position sized conservatively—never risk more than I'm willing to lose on a single trade.

Now comes the hardest part: patience. The market doesn't care about my timeline or my thesis. A pump never lasts forever, but it can last longer than your margin can survive if you're not careful. I set my stop loss, lean back, and resist the urge to watch every candle.

This is trading. Not lambos and champagne. Just analysis, execution, and the discipline to wait. Some days you're right. Some days the market reminds you who's really in charge. Either way, you show up tomorrow and do it again.

That's the job.
