Equilibrium's Web App Has Become A Fully Functional DeFi Portal

By Equilibrium | Equilibrium | 14 May 2020

We are upgrading our entire web application into a full-fledged DeFi web portal. We’ve made a bunch of changes and improvements, and we’re especially excited to go into detail about our new collateral support for a certain digital asset you probably know all about.

Let’s get into how things have changed in the wake of this update. There are five main things to review:

Product dashboard

The new dashboard is the heart of our DeFi hub that navigates users across all available products. It gives users a heads-up display for all the vital information they might need about their EOSDT positions, their savings pool activity, the current state of their vote for EOS block producers on Equilibrium EOSDT proxy.

From one simple view, you can gain quick access to any relevant data about your activity within the Equilibrium framework.

A new positions overview lets users track different position indicators

Following markets with any kind of regularity easily leads to information overflow. That’s why we’re happy to unveil a new positions overview page, which handily displays your lifetime profit, total accrued fees, the total value of your collateral, and more.

Below that is a list of all your EOSDT positions, whether they are closed, open, or on a margin call. The overview makes it clear how much collateral you used to generate how much EOSDT, as well as the profit associated with that individual position.

Here’s what it looks like:

Users can generate positions with different types of collateral

We are pleased to announce that Equilibrium now works with Bitcoin. Our BTC support is possible because of an “adaptor” technology called pTokens. As we are an EOS-based system, pTokens lets us represent BTC (or any other asset) as an EOS-compatible token.

Here’s what it looks like when you have options on which collateral will back your EOSDT position:

We’ve added a new History section so users can track their transactions

From opening a position to closing it (and everything that happens in between), our History view makes it easy to keep track of what you did and when you did it. This section lives immediately below the gateway interface for depositing collateral:

Mobile compatibility

Mobile devices are here to stay, so our new and improved gateway will be compatible with most blockchain wallets that support EOS. Whether you carry an iPhone or a Galaxy Nexus, you can gracefully manage your stablecoin position on the go.

Now you’re up to date on our new and improved gateway interface. It’s only a matter of time before we have more updates for you!
