As you can remember, two months ago we shared our Polkadot parachain launch roadmap. You might be interested to know the current progress on it. Our team is committed to transparency and we are constantly keeping our community in the loop of our developments. Find the most recent update in this article.
Here’s what you need to know:
Initial Genesis Launch
The initial genesis of the parachain is deployed at the beginning of May.

Active users received initial allocations for the following:
- Token swaps of NUT/EQ swap
- A private round
- PLO phase 1
- Crowdloand
Vestings will kick off when we will roll-out our production-ready environment.
To view allocations, users can use the Equilibrium app. Be sure to note these allocations also include vested allocations both for the Equilibrium Crowdloan and for investor allocations. In addition, allocations extend to funds locked in the lockdrop module. The lockdrop module is for users who locked their EQ tokens in order to receive GENS tokens in Genshiro in Kusama.
In the app, users can visualize their Crowd Loan contributions, as well as break down their respective contribution rewards.
Kusama-Polkadot bridge
We’re happy to announce that we’ve extended our bridge to support not only EVM-compatible chains and EVM <> Substrate composability, but also the Substrate <> Substrate connectivity, so we are among the first projects in the DotSama ecosystem who will be effectively bridging two ecosystems (Kusama and Polkadot) together and bringing them even closer to each other in terms of cross-chain interactions.
This fact opens up a plethora of new use-cases both for Equilibrium and Genshiro users — you can now move funds back and forth between Kusama and Polkadot,, have one unified stablecoin called EQD in both chains, manage your risks by moving your assets around in a timely manner, or even park your liquidity where the farming rewards are the highest at the moment!
We’ve Redesigned!
When interacting with Equilibrium you may notice some changes. We redesigned our website interface in a few areas: the main page, EQ Tokens informational section, Careers, and the About us section.
The dynamic design allows for more clear messaging for visitors, in an effort to help viewers better understand Equilibrium, our core value proposition, and what makes us different in DeFi!
Additionally, we redesigned our application interfaces. The new look strives for a more professional, straightforward user experience. Moreover, there is a special wallet page, on which all activity between the Equilibrium parach and other blockchains — inside and out of the ecosystem — are visible.
Users will also see a product section which displays all of our available products. This includes:
- The money market (MM) along with insurance and borrow functionality
- DEX and market making pools with trade and stake functionality,
- Yield AMM and Curve AMM- where homogenous assets like stablecoins and DOT wrappers are available to be exchanged.
