Ornithologists at Cornell have built a bird.
They have built several.
They have built a bird that sings.
They have built a bird that dances.
They have built a series of birds that quietly watch Jonathan Franzen get into the car every morning.
They have built a bird that wants to hire other birds to replace the ticker-tape at ticker-tape parades.
Ornithologists at Cornell have assembled themselves into what they claim is a giant bird and are slowly making their way down university halls, going, “Squawk! Squawk!
Car keys of the mind left to the branches,
and, ‘Where are my keys?’
and — you hop, and — you point.
