My favourite B&W photos pt. 1

By Edvardas | Edvardas Photography | 29 Dec 2020

I love black and white photography. I feel like we take away so much information when we remove colours, so only the essence can remain. Form and tones take on a new significance. Here are some of my favourite b&w shots from the last 2 years.

View down the Gediminas street in Vilnius. I love the positioning of the dark figures on the bicycles as well as the contrast between road/sky and the buildings.

I call this one "Lithuanian Romance". A couple relaxing in the middle of a field in rural setting. I like how the road is winding in front of them.

People gathered around a bonfire during Midsummer (St. John's) celebration. The photo is taken in Kernavė, the historical capital of Lithuania. It is a small village town today though still a magical place to visit as you can still feel the history in the air.

Light travelling down a fleet of stairs in Prague. I really like how the shadows turned out in this one.

Hope you enjoyed the b&w photos! Would love to hear your favourite one in the comments. Part 2 coming soon :)
