Hello again!
After the first part, where I introduced myself and mentioned (as I will again, as promised) that this story is based on fictional events, let’s pick up where we left off.
I had just introduced my friends to my other friends—or rather, to two of them. However, one has nothing to do with this story, so I’ll focus on Claudia.
Everything went great. We went to the movies, watched a film (though I can’t remember which one—no, Lucas, my memory isn’t that good, and clearly, it wasn’t anything memorable if I don’t recall it).
Things were looking really promising. Within less than a week, Claudia wouldn’t stop talking about Marcos, from Monday to Friday and even on Saturdays when I saw her. (Yes, it was so annoying. Lucas, Marcos talked your ear off about her too, didn’t he? It was even worse. Well, Marcos has always been a bit of a show-off—I don’t know why it still surprises me.)
Anyway, in the end, they started dating. Claudia had just broken up with her current boyfriend, although she never really stopped talking to him behind Marcos’s back.
Marcos didn’t want to repeat old patterns, so he tried to keep everyone together—which lasted exactly a few weeks.
It’s worth noting that Claudia was way too much woman for Marcos. She also taught him things he’d miss for a long time after.
But let’s start from the beginning. First of all, Marcos spent more time at her house than his own. They did everything there, and Marcos felt the need to share every detail with us, even telling me despite my being, as he put it, "a lady." (Yes, Lucas, even after spending so much time with you guys, not much surprises me anymore—but still, he shared it all.)
Then, just two weeks after they started dating, Claudia took him to the beach with her parents. Marcos didn’t think twice and hopped into a car with them for a four-hour drive. Being the smooth talker he is, he managed to turn what could have been a very awkward situation into something completely normal.
Once there, he spent a week living as though he were at a five-star hotel. He didn’t pay for a thing—her family treated him to meals and dinners at various restaurants. One of those was an Italian place where Marcos ordered the most expensive item on the menu. All he had to do in return was keep Claudia happy.
With Claudia, he did things he never repeated again—like snorkeling in the pool. (Yes, Lucas, that story about how she, uh, "took care of him" underwater—trying to keep it classy here—and how it took Marcos five minutes to explain what happened because we couldn’t understand him. Hilarious!)
Still, he returned after a week because he didn’t want to overstay his welcome. Or so he said—insisting he hadn’t taken advantage of their hospitality.
