Alright guys, this is a big one so buckle up.

I was casually just logging into my PC that runs my Theta Edge Node and I saw a new option on the left hand side. Stake TFUEL!

Before we dive to far into it lets get a little background into Theta. The Mainnet 3.0 is scheduled to be released April 21st, 2021. There is something called "Pre-Elite Edge Node" that will be released alongside Mainnet 3.0. What Pre-EEN does is it enables the ability to stake your TFUEL to earn passive TFUEL income.

The Theta team wanted to release a early build of that functionality to test the waters and see how it performs. So while this is a trial you can still earn TFUEL for participating early. There are a few things I needs to mention though in regards to staking.

1) There is a minimum balance to stake of 10,000 TFUEL

2) There is a maximum balance to stake of 100,000 TFUEL

3) Each month 300,000 TFUEL will be distributed to the people staking. Distributed to how much proportion of the total staked TFUEL you are staking.

I love how there is a maximum amount of TFUEL that you can stake. What this will do is limit people pumping thousands of dollars into staking to earn all the rewards. So if you stake then you are sure to get some good rewards. I do wish however the minimum balance was lower. That being said maybe when Mainnent launches those min/max numbers will change.

Every 10 minutes your TFUEL balance will be snapshotted which will be used to calculate your earnings. Your "Pending" rewards will be updated twice a day. And then it is paid out each month along side the normal Edge Node payout. I would assume then that the 300,000 TFUEL to be distributed each day is really broken down into say 10,000 a day distributed to all stakers, and paid out at the end of the month.

Keep in mind that your uptime will always play a role in your rewards as well. So make sure to keep it online as much as possible.
