So I just wanted to give an update to all of you. I started staking my TFUEL in the Edge Node. I have had it running a while but wanted to crunch the number for you guys.

I started with staking 10,350 TFUEL. I didn't want to do the bare minimum of 10,000 because I felt like I wanted to a tiny bit more than the minimum and I also didn't move my TFUEL from other wallets over so it is what I had available.

I get on average 0.892 TFUEL a day
That would be roughly 27 TFUEL a month
That would be roughly 321 TFUEL a year
At the time of writing that would be $9.63 a year for staking 10,350 TFUEL. That is assuming price of TFUEL doesn't go up and the rewards for staking doesn't go down.
To put this into perspective I have earned 203 TFUEL this month alone for the Theta Edge Worker. It is running on a Xeon L5520 CPU @ 2.27GHz (6 cores) and 8GB of RAM. So nothing crazy spec wise.

So staking TFUEL is NOT cost effective if you had to buy a lot of TFUEL to have enough. BUT if you have 10,000 TFUEL already you might as well Stake it and earn an extra couple bucks a year. The beauty of the staking is that it takes snapshots twice a day and updates your share of the rewards. So if you get more you can automatically update your staking amount and instantly get the rewards for it. No stupid 30 day waiting period to earn just 30 days to get paid.
