It's been a hot minute since I wrote about anything Theta or TFUEL related. June 24th, 2021 to be exact!
And I don't know about you but the Theta love has really died out over here on Publish0x and I wanted to figure out why. Sure I haven't been active on that blockchain in a LONG time. But I am still HODLing all my Theta and all my TFUEL. But I searched on Publish0x for articles about Theta because I was curious what was going on over there. And to my surprise I found NOTHING. Well not nothing, but nothing new since September 3rd 2021!
I thought maybe it was a fluke and so I decided to search up TFUEL as well and wouldn't you know...
July 9th, 2021 was the last article with TFUEL tagged in it. WTF guys. This isn't okay. And since I was 100% all in on Theta back in the day and still truly believe in the team and product and coins, I will do a little mini dive back into the world and see what is going on and update you all so you are aware of how awesome this blockchain is!
**Fast Forward 2 days since I need time to actually figure out what is new and what is going on over there**
I'm back! When I started my search I came across article from 2021 because I feel like that is when the Hype started to fade. But then I found this juicy article (the 3rd one in the screenshot).
But when clicking on it... It was written in a time when Bitcoin couldn't break the $10,000 price. Yeah we are way past that boys and girls. But it was written on May 26th, 2020 @ &:32pm EDT to be exact so this article is not what I am looking for.
I went back to the tried and true method and went onto Theta's website to find articles and boy oh boy it did NOT disappoint.
I am NOT going to list out details for each, nor am I going to just copy and paste every headline. I will however list out the notable Headlines as I see them. So without further ado this is what Theta has been up to.
2/9/2024 : You can now swap Theta tokens (TNT20) directly from your Theta Web Wallet via ThetaSwap. This is a great QoL update!
2/25/2024 : Edge Cloud wasn't released this day but Theta did talk in depth about it. Remember Google is a backer of Theta. Google and Theta together can bridge thousands of consumer grade GPU's together and charge customers to run LLM's or other AI jobs on those GPU's. Read about it here.
3/4/2024 : EdgeCloud for Mobile - Unleashing AI computing on 3.9 billion Android devices.
Do I even need to state how bonkers this is. While you sleep and your phone is charging let it work for you by running videos and letting AI scan them and earn TFUEL for it. Read about it here.
7/22/2024 : Meta's Llama 3.1 405B LLM launches on the Theta EdgeCloud.
8/12/2024 : ThetaLabs awarded U.S. Patent 12,056,730 for Edge Computing Platform supported by Smart Contracts with Off-Chain Solution Verification.
8/27/2024 : The EdgeCloud Video is on Mobile Apps and kick off User Generate Content.

11/4/2024 : TFUEL billing support is now live on the Theta EdgeCloud.
11/9/2024 : Theta Labs adds GenAI web service "Liner" as it's latest EdgeCloud Enterprise Customer.
12/9/2024 : The Vegas Golden Knights launched their own website chatbot for users to use that runs on Theta Edge Cloud.
That is just from this year 2024. Theta is on a freakin role everybody. I have said it since day 1. Theta has an amazing team around them. They have backers that don't F around (Google, Samsung, etc etc). They are constantly updating, improving, expanding capabilities. What is not to like?
You can bet your little booty that I am going to be back with a follow up article about that Android App and what I can earn from letting it run AI jobs in the background. So stay tuned!
