Do you like to get paid for doing simple tasks?  Of course you do, or else you wouldn’t be on Publish0x reading this (and hopefully many of you are) to get a few cents worth of tokens.  How about getting paid in tokens just for walking? Something we have to do at some point every day.  Well, I‘d like to share with you the Lympo app that I have been using that awards you with tokens for completing daily health and fitness challenges.  Walk. Earn.  It’s that freakin’ easy.

Lympo (LYM) is a cryptocurrency token and currently operates on the Ethereum platform.  It will be migrating to Harmony (ONE) platform likely in Q2 (more on this in a future post). 

Now, the Lympo app is where you can earn LYM just for walking/running and is a great way to be incentivized for being healthy.  All you need to do is join a challenge, walk or run the required distance or step count, then collect your reward.  Did you just wander aimlessly around the grocery to store to pick up some snacks…err uh... I mean fruits & veggies?  Well, that should be enough steps to bag you a few LYM.  And hey, would it hurt to take a quick stroll during your lunch break to bank in a few LYM? Hey, I did and there was no pain involved whatsoever, check it out!

There are various challenges, both short and long distances, usually anywhere from 0.5km - 7km.  You can use it indoors and outdoors (even on a treadmill….if you like to torture yourself). The app can sync with iOS Health, Samsung Health, Fitbit, Garmin, and many other apps.  Or you can complete the challenge using GPS instead of using steps.

Once you’ve earned loads of LYM, shedding pounds along the way, you can use the in-app marketplace to purchase anything from gift cards, shoes, electronics…and even tickets to NBA games as Lympo is partnered with the Dallas Mavericks.  

If you’re a Samsung user, you can withdraw your LYM to a Samsung Blockchain Wallet. The feature is supported on a few selected models which support Samsung Blockchain Keystore and Samsung Blockchain Wallet. These devices are Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, S10 5G sold in South Korea and the United States. For you iOS users like myself, need to wait a bit for this feature.
