Most of the western world has come to an economic standstill with most of the people in a lockdown at home. We dont know how long this situation will last.
Right now, the governments are in the hot seat, they need to decide actions and steer the course. I am afraid, that this is not going well, because they are bureaucrats with a lust for power over others. That does not qualify for such a diverse emergency.
This already has lead to slow and late reactions and therefore in most of Europe the containment of SARS Cov 2 has been botched. Before it gets better it most likely has to get worse.
Different central banks and governments are discussing helicopter money for businesses and private people, it is quite likely that You will get an airdrop of currency in Your bank account. This is meant to help the economy to find track again.
Many people are unable to earn money in a lockdown.
But the problem is not the money, it is the goods that are drying up. The shelves have become eerily empty over the last days, and soon there only will be local stuff available.
This action of helicopter money is an act of desperation, and it is not meant to help You, but to keep the system going and more importantly to keep the power structure as it is. It also shows, that governments never really do anything, except redistributing money. Every political rally is an auction of stolen goods, trying to gain the voters sympathy by promising benefits, that have to be taken from someone.
So politics is all about money. They take, they keep a sizeable cut for themselves, and they hand out some to the people.
But nothing gets done, because politics is no work. It is talking and lobbying.
I dont know the exact numbers of the Swiss National Bank these days. But it seems that the different market operations soon will exceed the annual tax revenue of Switzerland. And this most likely will be the same just everywhere.
Why pay taxes under these circumstances? Would it not be much easier, to just create the amount out of thin air with the click of a mouse?
The problem is, that there is no honest money anymore. It is just fiat currency which is designed to loose value over time and especially in these days. It is in the hands of the central bank to expand the amount, or it is being created via the creditmarket, or by the governments deficit spending. It is just You honest fool exchanging Your lifetime against a bunch of soon to be worthless pieces of paper.
Prices of all goods have to rise, because there is lots of currency chasing a dwindling amount of goods. Government and Central banks can only create currency, but they can not provide goods or services needed.
This time of emergency is a test for all of us. It is high time for a correction and a reset. We have lost our way, we forgot what life really is about. We lost ourselves in these complex systems and even believed that this was real life.
Life is about food and shelter, life is being healthy, sharing with friends and family, seeing Your kids grow and sitting awestruck under a sky full of stars.
