Hi guys , during quarantine everyone has a lot of time to be on line most of his time so today i saw a question at Facebook with this title.

1 KB is 1000 bytes or 1024.

Despite i am MSc at Computer Science it was a reply that I thought i knew that it is 2^10= 1024 bytes but because i thought that at SI the the kilo unit is 10^3 i was wondering what it is correct 1000 or 1024???

So the correct is this KIBIBYTE (KiB) = 2^10 = 1024 BYTES and KILOBYTE (KB)= 10^3 BYTES 

But in real life because it is almost the same there is no difference only for literature reasons
