As I tried to figure out how to write a post to share this drawing with you, I quickly found myself lost in a tangle of neurons.

Where do drawings like this come from? And why? A Chinese man controlled by a hideous creature—one that just looks depressed about being out in the rain... I don't know; I just started sketching and this is what emerged. Maybe I messed up the eyes—which is why they’re so black—but I don't recall; this drawing is from 2020. It was created using a 0.5mm mechanical pencil, along with 4B and 6B pencils for the swamp shading... I really like the rainy atmosphere of the piece.
