Fan art has always been one of the best ways to get started with drawing, so I created quite a few pieces. The Gastly drawing—like the Naruto one—wasn't for a contest; I did it because it was simple and I was eager to learn. Back then, I didn't even know what a "cartoonist" was, so I mostly just drew fan art based on references.
Today, I was going through my old sketchbooks from that time and found several original drawings.
