Today's comic strip will change the look of the blog a bit. Yes, after all these years of plublish0x (many of them just as a reader and cryptocurrency prospector), it will be the first time I change my profile picture.
A greater coincidence than this is impossible: I found the new profile picture after doodling a lot in my sketchbook. My creative process requires me to doodle for a while before finding the character...
Okay, character found, comic strip 50% ready... I'll take a look at plublish0x, and I found a comment that had gone unnoticed two days ago, a comment that fit exactly with what was happening minutes before. Instead of writing, it's better to leave the screenshot for you to see...
Originally it's in Spanish, but I translated it into English as well.

So, thanks to that comment I realized I might be confusing my readers, or depending on the point of view, even deceiving them... Let's get to the facts... the profile picture is an NFT created on Binance based on a photo of me. If some of you participated in that promotion to create an NFT on Binance, you'll remember because everyone was black and golden yellow, which is the color that represents Binance.
(As I write this, I think I have to go to Binance to see if I can find it, because I never made that Web3 wallet they recommended; I always just used the exchange's asset section)... and not a drawing of mine, as the follower mentioned.

Now, with that in mind, I'm going to change my profile picture to an original cartoon. However, some images in the Rocrypton blog articles are AI-generated, precisely because I lack the time to create an original drawing... but in those cases, I always state at the end of the text "image generated by artificial intelligence".
Two hours ago I was doodling. Don't be fooled, you can find great characters if you start doodling... don't try to go to the page with the character already formed in your mind unless you're doing a reinterpretation by copying someone. When I say copy, I mean looking at a person and creating a comic character. It might be easier than finding it by doodling, but I learned this from the cartoonist Angelí, observing what he says when asked about his creative process.
He is one of the artists who influences my drawing.
I have a project to copy his drawings just by looking at them to absorb some of his style, but it stopped on the second page...
So what happened? I had the drawing for my profile picture ready exactly when I read the comment, when in the story this will happen again, even though that picture that's there was the first one so far!
My sketches until I got to the character 👇

Wearing glasses... and a beard, and looking more like me than NFT does, I'm not a superstitious guy, but I'm still intrigued by how this happened. It's been a long time since I've drawn anything; the drawings I've been posting are from 2020 and 2021. Today I decided to do something new... I wasn't even thinking about the NFT from my profile.
He's there waiting for me to color him and add some dialogue................................
Okay, I'm back...

And this is how it looked after it was finished.
