Hace unos meses, buscando información en un conocido foro sobre criptomonedas, me topé con un subforo donde comentaban y compartían opiniones sobre libros relacionados con las finanzas en general, y hubo un que me llamó la atención por lo que un usuario decía sobre él: había sido uno de los primeros libros que había leído sobre finanzas personales y había cambiado radicalmente su forma de pensar.
Conseguí el libro y lo cargué en mi Kindle, y no fue hasta hace unos días que recordé que tenía pendiente leerlo, así que aprovechando ratos sueltos, lo he leído. He de decir que se leer fácil y rápidamente, ya que no se trata de una lectura muy densa, todo lo contrario.
A few months ago, looking for information in a forum about cryptocurrencies, I found a sub-forum where they commented and shared opinions about books related to finance, and there was one that caught my attention because what said an user about it: it was one of the first books he had read about personal finance, and it had radically changed the way he thought.
I got the book and loaded it onto my Kindle, and it wasn't until a few days ago that I remembered that I had to read it, so taking advantage of spare moments, I have read it. I have to say that I can read easily and quickly, since it is not a very dense reading, quite the opposite.
El libro fue escrito por George Clason en la década de1920, por lo que ya tiene sus años, pero al parecer se ha convertido en un imprescindible en su género. Debo reconocer que al principio, y pensando que se trataba de un libro de autoayuda (los cuales odio), estuve a punto de no leerlo, e incluso de ni siquiera descargarlo. Pero no, no se trata de uno de estos libros.
Todos sabemos lo que es ahorrar, y todos hemos oído en alguna ocasión aquello de la planificación económica que se supone debemos aplicar a nuestra economía personal, pero al final todo queda en el olvido. Pues a través de las distintas historias que George Clason nos va contando basadas en los ejes económicos que ya predominaban en la antigua Babilonia, descubriremos y aprenderemos como gestionar nuestros ahorros, aprenderemos a generar ingresos pasivos, y a decidir como debemos invertir nuestro dinero.
The book was written by George Clason in the 1920s, so it is old enough, but apparently it has become a must-have in its genre. I must admit that at the beginning, and thinking that it was a self-help book (which I hate), I was on the verge of not reading it, and even of not even downloading it. But no, it is not one of these books.
We all know what it is to save, and we have all heard on occasion that of economic planning that we are supposed to apply to our personal economy, but in the end everything is forgotten. Well, through the different stories that George Clason tells us based on the economic axes that already predominated in ancient Babylon, we will discover and learn how to manage our savings, we will learn to generate passive income, and to decide how we should invest our money.
No es un libro milagroso, ni mucho menos, solo nos trae de vuelta a la realidad, con un lenguaje muy sencillo, para que basándonos en ciertas reglas, consigamos lo que igual hasta ahora ha sido una tarea imposible.
Resumiendo, os recomiendo que perdáis un par de horas en leerlo, porque seguro que sacaréis algo bueno de ello. A mi me ha gustado bastante y cierto es que ha cambiado mi perspectiva en algunos aspectos.

It is not a miraculous book, far from it, it only brings us back to reality, with very simple language, so that based on certain rules, we can achieve what has been an impossible task until now.
In short, I recommend that you waste a couple of hours reading it, because surely you will get something good out of it. I liked it a lot and it is true that my perspective has changed in some aspects.
