My main reason for creating a starter guide about Alien Worlds, was because I could not really find any!

There is a lot of information on what the TLM coin is and how it works. Why WAX works the way it works. But all these tutorials forget one big thing... To start at the beginning.

Collect.Social

I am currently trying to understand the https://collect.social/ platform. The platform states that it rewards people for holding certain collections. For example the three basic tools in Alien Planets. On a youtube video that I will link in the resources, it was also mentioned you could earn rewards for doing certain achievements. It sounded good! Getting some racoon coins just for adding some people to a friendslist, logging in a few days in a row. It's basically free money!

Achievement rewards part 1!

I then visited the platform, logged in through my WAX account and started doing some achievements. I completed several and then... nothing! No coins were gained. Perhaps there is a button I need to press to claim it? No I couldn't find one anywhere. Maybe it's rewarded the day after you completed them? It does not seem to be the case.

I started googling, reading their blog but after 15-30 minutes searching I just became frustrated and gave up (I get easily frustrated when I search for information and I cannot find it within 5 minutes).

A day later I came back to the platform, I had just bought an item for alien planets and I knew I was only 2,6 wax away from completing a collection. You know what! Let's do it I thought to myself. I bought the missing item and the collection was complete. I received 100 Racoon coins for my achievement.

Now what I did find earlier on one of their blogposts, was that I would receive 50 Racoon coins per experience I had. The collection I had completed gave me I believe 50 XP. So I should receive 50 Racoon coins. There are no such coins on my account, I only got rewarded for the achievement.

So what does this mean? Do I only get my XP paid out if I reach level 2? (the platform has a level system, I assume getting to level 2 is 100 XP). Do I get these rewards at the end of the day or perhaps even daily? The answer on this question just is not available. Or hidden so well that if you do not happen to have the correct link, it would take you hours to find it. Spending more time on searching I did though... and I found another interesting plot twist.

Achievement rewards part 2!

On the youtube I had watched earlier, I came across the following quote: 

Which means that I did not get paid for completing the achievements initially. But now I have gotten myself a collection, yet no Racoon coins have been added. I cannot complete the achievements again, meaning that I can never get the 300 racoons I could have received if I had waited until after I completed the collection. 'There been some reports' says enough about how easy it is to find this kind of information.

Right now I am still left with a lot of questions:

1. Will I ever see the coins form the achievements I already completed?

2. Do I still get those 50 Racoon coins for my XP?

3. How often should I get those 50 coins? Once, daily, weekly, monthly?

4. Do I perhaps need to complete two collections to level up first before receiving my racoons?

5. What does leveling up actually mean? Do you gain anything from it? Is it just for status?

And there are actually a few more, but less important questions that are left unexplained. I have through their blog asked them some questions, I hope to receive an answer soon as if I get them, I will create a new blog explaining things to the best of my ability.

One last thing I wish to add is that Collect.Social is not the only (wax-based) platform that gives really poor explanations on what it actually is. There are no FAQ pages, no tutorials you just need to google and hope you come across a good article about it. Even the most basic things are never explained by the designers themselves. I am lucky to be in the Infidel mining group which often helps me get information. But you should not have to be in such a group, in order to be able to find answers on simple questions.
