Uphold: CredEarn and Why Customer Support Is Important

Uphold: CredEarn and Why Customer Support Is Important

CredEarm seemed like a dream come true: an easy, hassle-free way to get the juice out of your BATs, especially as CredEarn was already within the Uphold ecosystem, but it came short in all metrics.

Hey! If you're new here, don't forget to sign up to Publish0x, and you could be earning crypto tokens by reading and writing content, just like this one!

I already had my fair share of assets allocated into Equities (about which you can read over here), and my pie chart of allocation wasn't looking as diverse as I wished it to be.

Before I even started to look out for new investment ventures, one came to me, by the hand of no other than Uphold themselves.

CredEarn has been the only 3rd-party integration that Uphold has ever recommended to me, that had to mean something, right?

Sure, it did.

I must give CredEarn the benefit of the doubt, and say that they most likely do work if everything is correct, right from the start, but what happens when it doesn't?

Well, based on my experience: nothing, at all.

The deadline came by, but an error message never showed up. No updates came at all, no request for further information to provide, or new documents to verify.

Nothing, literally nothing.

A day or two later, an SMS came in to let me know that my hodl won't be starting, and that was it.

Disappointed, and already not wanting to deal with them at all, I still tried to contact support, out of curiosity more than anything.

You can always learn something out of everything, and I wanted to know which red flags my account raised so I could correct them.

I tried twice by email and once by chat, and out of three attempts, after three days, I got one reply, a promise to open a ticket about my case and follow-ups coming to my mail.

I'm still waiting to hear from them.

As someone with a background in Customer Service, I can't help to value and rate a company's effort into their clients by how easy and effective it's to get in touch with them. So, nobody is getting A+ over here.

CredEarn was simply a waste of time and a little bit of disappointment, not only in them but indirectly on Uphold, as they took pride in having them as a partner.

It makes you wonder, is this the best you can offer your customers? Because, you usually will put in the front-line your best cards, and that was CredEarn for Uphold, but the expectations were definitely not meet.

A shame, because I was happy not to have another app on my phone to keep track of, but I guess that Nexo's blue logo matches my background quite nicely.

It's time to check on my daily interest payment of Ripple, I'll see you in a bit.
