It seems FIFA is firing on all cylinders with their Web3 offerings. Out of the many projects they are involved, we'll focus on Upland for this blog post.
World Cup Qatar 2022 is just around the corner and FIFA has decided to go all out with their promotions including a deal with the virtual property NFT trading game that I play. We see it has characteristics of other collectible sports NFT's:
But aside from that, it also has NFT concepts that are unique to the game of Upland: 
So what are these outdoor property decors and why do you have to go to Lusail in Qatar and other shops to buy them?
Since these FIFA NFT's are not yet available as of writing, we'll show some items that are currently in game: 
As you can see, they could be anything from statues, sofas with firepit, mailboxes, outdoor grill to an outhouse. These are all NFT's just like but distinct from the lot property they are on top of.
So how do you purchase them in game?
Upland is a metaverse that is mapped from the real world. Here, you need to send your in-game avatar called a Block Explorer(BE) to an address that actually exist in the real world but could be a different kind of property in the game like a store called a Metaventure that sells different items such as BE's, outdoor decors and NFLPA legits which is another sports collectible NFT collaboration.
The official FIFA stores in the game are still under construction but it's best to join early and get the hang of it to be better prepared when they become available. And who knows, you might like other aspects of the game while you're there.
What's cool about FIFA NFT's are....well, they're FIFA. Not to downplay all the controversy that the organization has been involved as well as the issues with the current host country regarding migrant workers, football is still one of the most if not THE most popular sport in the world.
