Hi everyone,

Have you got friends and family around you that simply ignore you or laugh at you when you bring up cryptocurrencies or the king Bitcoin ? I guess I am not the only one and sometimes it gets a little frustrating, because I am an enthusiast and would like to discuss cryptocurrency, blockchain, Bitcoin, altcoins etc. I have literally zero people around me with the slightest interest in it ! Thank god for Publish0x that lets me express myself and talk/read about cryptos.

I was hoping that after 10 years proving to be an amazing invention and where you can make amazing gains, that people would take Bitcoin a little bit more serious, but I still see a lot of people around me ignoring it. At the same time it makes it super interesting, because this means it is still so small and can still grow enormously. Of course institutions, governments, banks, etc. start to see what cryptocurrencies are doing in this world, but the average Joe is still relatively far away, because they simply have not heard of it, do not understand what it can do or is just not interested.

The funny thing is, that my family got me into cryptocurrencies back in late 2017. I got super interested after reading a lot of websites of Bitcoin and altcoins like Ethereum, Litecoin, Cardano, IOTA and many more. When I started in crypto I was looking at 2025/2030 and where it could be. By following it every day and the developments it is making in the business world, I realize that this is something special and is here to stay. In the meantime my family has no longer interest in cryptos, because it was dropping so much in 2018. I guess they will want to break even or win just a little bit and sell everything. Unfortunately they do not take their time to read about it or see its potential and only looked at 2018, which was a bad year for crypto indeed, but showed that it is here to stay !

When Bitcoin and the altcoins were in a bear market in 2018 and dropped immensely, I tried to convince my friends and my family to take a serious look at cryptocurrencies, but since it was moving down constantly they did not think it was interesting and did not want to talk about it. It is a failure, fake money, etc. I have tried several times since and every time I get the same answer : “what Bitcoin hahaha ? Nah that is nothing”, and we are off to another subject. Very frustrating for me, but I think that they will regret it over time.

Probably next year or the year after they will ask me about Bitcoin and altcoins, because the media will hype it all up again and then I will realize it is time to put some off the table ! They will ask : “hey man, should I buy cryptos ? I remember we talked about it before and I laughed at it, but do you think I can make a lot of money this time ?” My answer will be : “Nah too late dude !”
