Okay. How many gamers here have multiple drives? How many of you, at one point or another, reinstalled windows on either a new drive (upgrade?) or the same drive? 

I bet most of you have.

While Steam has the option of re-adding your libraries of games on the multitude of Hard Disks or SSDs, you will notice that all of the icons for your shortcuts on the desktop, are missing. In their place a blank icon. This has always been a big annoyance for me and made me crazy.

Well, fret no more. Thanks to the lovely developer ez4y2f over on Github, we now have the problem solved, and fast. Just do the following:

• First make sure you have all of your game's shortcuts on your Desktop. If you have a lot of shortcuts, use a desktop manager like Stardock's Fences or a free alternative like Twometer's NoFences
• Then head on over to ez4y2f's repo with the tool called SteamIconFix: Here
• Grab the latest .exe. As of writing this it's v1.07
• Run the .exe
• When opened it will ask you which CDN you'd like to use. I chose Cloudflare because I am in love with them. But you are free to choose Akamai if you want.
• Boom. Simple as that. It will scan and grab the icons for you, add the icon images and refresh your Desktop. Now every game has its original icon!

This is for sure a tool I will be keeping amongst my toolkits.
