The Corpus Christi feast was established in the 13th century in the Catholic Church to publicly honor and adore the Eucharist. It is a movable feast, always celebrated on the Thursday following Trinity Sunday, which means it falls 60 days after Easter. Corpus Christi processions aim to publicly profess faith in the presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.
