Given that Singapore is one of the most crypto-friendly nations on earth, it is perhaps not surprising that it is the breeding ground for new coins and tokens.

Take for instance the Hi dollar that has gained traction among personal finance enthusiasts. A project based in sunny Singapore, it promises you one Hi dollar per day should you answer a simple question on WhatsApp.

According to its website https://hi.com/, one Hi dollar is worth USD$1.34 now. The catch is that you must answer questions faithfully for 365 days before being entitled to do your Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and cash out your Hi dollars.  

Honestly, this sounds dubious to me. How will these developers find enough money to fund over 2 million users (and growing) next year? But I decided to suspend my scepticism when I found out that Hi dollars had been listed on Uniswap. Oh well, at least this won’t be a rug pull.  

Although I’m kinda assured about the legitimacy of this project, I remain cynical that the foundation can pay me more than USD$365 a year from now. I will be more than happy if I get a payout of $3.65. Yup keeping my expectations low at one cent per day.  

Here is where I will give myself a pat on the shoulder. I set the language settings to Japanese so that I can get in some practice while answering these questions! In that case, even if the foundation fails to reward me at the end, I still derive some learning from the process!
