Finding the middle ground

Finding the middle ground

Critics opine that MBTI is a pseudoscience. Wtv. My son sure isn’t ENFP. (I am ENFP.)

“Let’s go to the zoo this Sat,” he suggested.

My face contorted into a resigned scowl. “I don’t want to visit there twice in a year,” I lamented.

“How about Rainforest East?” he persevered.

“Ooooookay, I know you haven’t been there yet, but I have gone there and really don’t want to visit again this year. Next year!” I stuck to my guns.

“What about the butterfly sanctuary?” I cajoled. Now it was his turn to frown. Which was a good thing because he should have the right to say no.

“What about Gardens by the Bay? Sunflower exhibition!” my enthusiasm failed to arouse his interest.

Finally, after much discussion, we both decided on something we were keen on - Gallop Stable. Me because I needed a novel experience. Him because he just wanted anything to do with animals.

Through this experience, I appreciated how he doesn’t have tuition on Sat because only then will he be prompted to think about how to spend his time.
