In order to understand today's system one must also know the previous systems, only then one can classify and judge our fiat currency system. Therefore I have made in the first part of the book a short and by far not complete digression into the history of money.
In the second part I try to explain the prevailing fiat currency system and explain the dangers and side effects.
In the third part I dare to sketch a possible future. What could a future, backed financial system, based on crypto-currencies, cash, precious metals and the blockchain technology look like. This sketch should, ideally, serve as a basis for discussion and is neither perfect nor thought through to the end. However, it may be possible to stimulate the reader's imagination to refine the sketch.
Since I have neither a publisher nor typesetters and layout experts in my back pocket, the book cannot be perfect. It doesn't have to be. It has helped me to think about the prevailing situation, to use my free time and perhaps help other people and has stimulated their interest to delve a little deeper into the subject.
