In a German high school two classes are activated, one on anarchy and the other on autarky, we start from the generic definition of those two words.

Anarchy:

Intolerant of laws and external impositions; rebellious against everything that tends to limit the freedom to think and act according to one's own will.

Autarchy:

Condition of a country aiming at economic self-sufficiency, with the objective of producing on its territory the goods it consumes or uses, limiting or cancelling foreign trade.

The young Professor Rainer Wenger, considered by many to be a "subversive", must teach the second one lessons, despite the fact that he was particularly happy to teach the kids what anarchy was, as it was a subject much more familiar and appreciated by him.

As the minutes of the film passes, we also begin to get to know some kids in the class, who manage to accurately represent some of the stereotypes of modern society, such as immigration, marginalization and bullying.

In addition to the teacher on a leading role there are some students, including a young couple of boyfriends formed by the classic unconsciousness sporty handsome boy and his diligent girlfriend.

From the beginning of the first lesson the teacher feels a certain indifference and boredom from the students involved, so to make it more stimulating he decides to move from theory to practice.

After explaining the meaning of the word, he stimulates them to enter competition to give the best of themselves with rivals of the anarchist class, held by an old gentleman with a fashioned mentality, which has views completely contrary to those of Wenger.

The kids are called to proclaim a "head of state", their choice will fall on the teacher, who will give them many cues to identify with the group and distinguish themselves from those who are not part of it.

Jeans and white shirt will be part of their uniform, they will produce flyers, stickers and work on a website with a symbol representing a wave, they will also invent a greeting to stand out as well as a sort of motto:

A wave that will overwhelm everyone.

This fateful sentence will overwhelm above themselves, who will tend to degenerate in their behavior to the detriment of the professor's initial good intentions.

Acts of vandalism, excesses and group unity that will lead to violence, reaching the top when Wenger realizes he has totally lost control and it will be too late, the epilogue will end in tragedy.

Until everything goes well he has the unconditional support of the headmaster, attracting the envy of his colleagues, when the ship begins to take on water is immediately abandoned by everyone and will only find himself trying to repair the damage done.

A film certainly not light and not for everyone, an excellent representation of a people still enslaved to their past and too tied to the tragic events of World War II.

At the beginning the students were asked a question by the professor: "Could Germany fall back on the same mistakes made in the past?"

Immediate and firm their negative response, who seem to be convinced that one can learn from mistakes and that it is impossible to make it again.

The real answer will reveal an inexperienced, incoherent and ignorant behavior, which will be able to demonstrate the strength that can have on a group the instability of some of its components.
