Paul Rudd is the double main character of this Netflix series, in this comedy of 8 episodes lasting about 25' minutes each, apart from the final one that lasts 35'.

Why double? The reason is very simple, he will be cloned in an unlikely beauty center with the intention of coming out more motivated and energetic under the advice of a work colleague who has found the will to live thanks to this treatment.

The fact of being cloned was not initially contemplated, the clone would have had to take possession of his life and the original buried in a wood, but something unexpected happen, they meet each others and then begin the battle to try to undermine the rival above all from the affection of the wife of which they are both madly in love.

Initially the series has a certain level of comedy and improbable situations, as the plot suggests to the limits of surrealism, with the passage of time acquires a more serious and demanding tone and the jokes and comic scenes are less and less.

Honestly, I didn't appreciated so much, Rudd is a fairly good actor and always manages to make any kind of situations credible, the script is quite simple and straightforward, but with the going of the episodes I felt a certain sense of boredom despite the short episodes duration.

It is worth being seen if you love the American actor and for his originality and unpredictability, the public and the critics seem to have promoted it sufficiently, but don't expect anything exceptional.

Paul Rudd é il doppio protagonista di questa serie targata Netflix, in questa commedia di 8 episodi dalla durata di circa 25 minuti l'uno, a parte quello finale che dura 35.

D'ora in poi devo avvisarvi, fate attenzione agli Spoilers.

Perché doppio? Il motivo é molto semplice, verrà clonato in un improbabile centro estetico con l'intento di uscirne più motivati ed energico sotto consiglio di un collega di lavoro che ha ritrovato la voglia di vivere grazie a questo trattamento.

Il fatto di essere clonato non era inizialmente contemplato, il clone avrebbe dovuto impossessarsi della sua vita e l'originale seppellito in un bosco, ma un imprevisto fa sì che entrambe si incontrino ed inizino a dare battaglia per cercare di scalzare il rivale soprattutto dall'affetto della moglie del quale sono entrambi follemente innamorati.

Inizialmente la serie ha un certo livello di comicità e situazioni improbabili, come d'altronde la trama suggerisce ai limiti del surrealismo, con il trascorrere del tempo acquista un tono più serio ed impegnativo e vengono tralasciate le battute e le scene comiche.

Sinceramente l'ho apprezzata a metà, Rudd é un attore di discreto livello e riesce sempre a rendere credibile le situazioni di qualsiasi tipo, la sceneggiatura é abbastanza semplice e lineare ma con l'andare delle puntate ho avvertito un certo senso di noia nonostante la breve durata delle stesse.

Vale la pena di essere vista se amate l'attore statunitense e per la sua originalità e imprevedibilità, il pubblico e la critica sembrano averla promossa con voti sufficienti, ma non aspettatevi niente di eccezionale.
