Phantom wallet is going for multichain support

By Cosmonauta | DeFi Degen | 1 Dec 2022

Solana took the biggest hit after the FTX collapse, since they were big on it (along with Serum DEX), but you know what, builders gonna build. Solana wallet app Phantom just announced that they are adding Ethereum and Polygon support their wallet, which is a good news for Defi degens.

Here is announcement from their blog:

Having to rely on different wallets for different blockchains is leading to fragmented and tribal ecosystems. We are so excited to bring the Phantom experience that so many know and love, to Ethereum and Polygon and create a single wallet that people can use for everything.

It seem like their Ethereum supports comes along with their collaboration with Polygon, which is aggressively growing Etherum sidechain with their acquisitions and their development.

As a leading scaling solution for Ethereum, Polygon is gaining breakout momentum in user and developer activity. Our partnership with Polygon will help us bring a first-class wallet to the Polygon ecosystem and its ambitious technology roadmap. With their emphasis on low transaction fees, security and scalability, there are amazing similarities between Polygon’s user base and ours.

Check the Phantom wallet at https://phantom.app/, and double check where you are downloading the wallet app. What's your favorite Solana Wallet, if you are still using one?
