Healthy Lifestyle Possible

There are a few things I do not like about Cyprus.  I get woken up by the building site over the road every morning around 7.30 am!! However, now that spring has arrived, it's hard to dislike. The temperature is steady at 25 degrees and above.  Flowers are blooming all around. There is the wonderful scent of lemon, orange and various other blossoms in the breeze. It's a heavenly scent and I feel happy to have a sense of smell and a good nose! It's also fabulous to go to the local market every Tuesday morning to buy the latest seasonal foods available. It's best to get there before 10 am as, after that, it gets packed with people and not at all pleasurable. I thought I would share with you my weekly shop and its cost. I'm curious as to how much it costs other site users to buy groceries these days. I know that in the UK, I only bought from the "Reduced Section" and I would be lucky if it was as fresh as what the article image shows.

I'm not a big eater - just breakfast and a meal around 5 pm.  With the foods below, I have snacks, around 3-4 vegetarian meals supplemented with what's already in the food cupboard (rice, bulgur, bread, etc).

Here's the breakdown: Pumpkin seeds (magnesium rich, healthy fats and fibre), 6 free-range eggs (protein, essential amino acids), bunch of chard (vitamin K, antioxidants), small cauliflower (fat and cholesterol free), carrots (promote healthy vision, balance blood sugar), leeks (folate), fresh garlic (immune system, cardiac health), tomatoes, strawberries and olives (iron, antioxidants, fibre);

Total cost £9.50/$12

Thanks for reading, tipping and even commenting; perhaps I could take your mind off your crypto addiction for just a few minutes!!
