Synergy and Mainnet Updates

Hello, D.Buzz development enthusiasts!

To create development synergy in our production, we need to ensure that we are working together towards common goals. This means communication and collaboration are essential. We need to be able to share ideas and feedback freely without fear of judgment. We also need to be willing to experiment and take risks. Only by working together can we hope to create the best possible product.

This "synergy" has been one of our internal team goals for some time. While at times it has been challenging lately, we are starting to reach this goal.

Case in point is our development on the Next.D.Buzz platform, testing those releases then punching them onto the main platform D.Buzz. This week was a textbook example of a synergetic production cycle.

  • We laid out the bugs and updates to address and fix.
  • The developer addressed them and provided the fixes.
  • The revised code was rolled out to Next.D.Buzz.
  • The team tested the code for bugs.
  • The developer addressed the bugs.
  • A week later, many updates and fixes were pushed to D.Buzz mainnet.

We feel that internal synergy is critical for ongoing success, and we aim to reproduce it moving forward. :)

Updates for this week

We pushed the updates from last week to the central platform. You can review all the notes from last week HERE.

We did have a few exceptions to this.

  • The Vimm embed fix isn't finished, but we are working on making it work smoother.
  • The D.Tube embed fix isn't finished. Like the previous one, we are working on making it function well.
  • Support for video embeds from Odysee browser links is finished, but we still need to add additional support so we are not punching that to the mainnet yet.
  • Browser links from Odysee will properly embed starting today, but more support will be added for other link variations (e.g. if www. is added, etc.).
** NOTE: The links copied from Odysee's share button were already fully supported on DBuzz before this release.

Gearing up for a big new project

For the next 2 weeks, new features on D.Buzz will be slowed down. The team will be working 100% on the next big project from Dataloft (D.Buzz's parent company).

Again, we can not tell you about it yet, but it will rock Hive for sure!

As such, we have to pull some of the developers from DBuzz to work on that for the next several weeks to bring it closer to the final product. We do ask for your understanding over the next several weeks as we refocus for a bit.

Thank you for your support!

Ongoing development thanks and shoutout!

Much love to the entire @threespeak team for their help with the LITE platform - @vaultec and the whole crew are fantastic. They have been integral in the LITE framework development.
