It's the season of pumpkin spiced lattes (or so I've heard, but never actually have tasted one), so what better way than to go out and discover some chic cafes in search of some seasonal delights! And even though we don't get the usual Halloween vibes in this featured resto as shared by @aswita, it still fits the bill in providing a nature-like ambiance despite being an indoor venue-- what with its natural lighting coming from its windows and the shades of the potted trees planted inside here-- it definitely looks like the perfect place to get lost in one's own thoughts. (〃 ̄ω ̄〃ゞ
On the topic of cafes and lattes, let's amped up the spooky vibes with this short, but no less entertaining, coffee-centric Halloween tale as written by @simplifylife -- it's honestly been a while since I've read some good quality creative beans in the Hive community (and I haven't been back to writing my own stories too in a while), so this was a pleasant surprise to encounter and even mull over at the end of it, or just shrug over as a complete work of fiction (for the non-believers of any supernatural feats) by the skeptics, or just accept the mysticism of things not understood in our realm of reality.
We're going all out Halloween vibes this week before the weekend of spooks, with another short horror story, complete with a creative page of art as created by @drynemer --like how I wouldn't judge people who are generally creeped out with clowns, but don't question my own uneasy feeling around scarecrows (thankfully haven't seen an actual one irl)-- I mostly blame the movie, Jeepers Creepers which I've seen as a kid and the 2019 film "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" (which I've first read as a book of short horror anthologies) didn't help in quelling my fight or flight mode either. So kudos to OP for creating this lil backgrounder as a sort of origin story for a supposed childhood fear of mine. (;^ω^)
Scary stories can only be creepy as one's imagination ought it to be, but with movies, it's a hella different ball game and the only thing that might save you from the possible incoming jumpscares are your closed eyes, and even though this thriller titled "I See You" as shared by @gigi8 is as eerie as it sounds with that sort of title, I doubt it'd be as scary as "Lights Out". OP is real good in reviewing this to leave out the important details, but still able to get one curious at what exactly we're up against in this film. Although I've guiltily spoiled myself on how this ends, it didn't exactly save me from the finale twist this plot has to offer. Σ(꒪ȏ꒪)
Last and most important of all for this season of tricks and treats, are your seasonal decorations for Halloween! And the good news here is that, you don't have to even pay big time with this awesome recycled bottle creations as shared by @kdelvaeg --surprisingly too easy to do despite its snow globe inspired exterior, all you even need are those plastic bottles you're most probably just gonna throw away anyway, and a few scraps of tissue paper here and there, and viola! You got yourself some table highlights in the event of having guests over and even managed to spare your well-thought out budget from an otherwise one night happening. (ᕑᗢूᓫ∗)
Again a huge heartfelt thanks to all of you who have posted such amazing content. I hope to include you all in future Roundup posts!
For now, this ESM (Epic, Smile, Maker) is signing off.
Have a great day!
