You asked for it and you got it. https://Next.D.Buzz (testnet) now has a mobile & desktop app you can install and use.

D.Buzz is a progressive company looking towards the future, you are all progressive people as well, and sometimes, together we have to unlearn systems and old ideas to move forward into a brighter future.

Lets talk PWA's

This brings us to what a PWA is. PWA stands for "Progressive Web App". It's a concept that has been around for a while but is now getting more adoption. A PWA is a combination of native apps (Desktop and Mobile) and Web technology, it is a hybrid between a web page and a mobile or desktop application that will deliver a better overall user experience.

PWA's do not need to be distributed via the Google Play Store or Apple web store. You just go to the web page and install the PWA on your device or desktop. It's fast, easy, and free.

This increases the idea of decentralization as there is no centralized authority reviewing and saying who can, and who cannot publish applications. This is important to the future of freedom of speech.

When you install a PWA, it's like a satellite around the orbit of your web browser. It still relies on your web browser, however, it's also its own separate application. Most modern web browsers support PWA's, however, some don't and some do only mildly. Namely, Firefox does not support PWA's and Safari has limited support.

How to Install the D.Buzz PWA.

Because this is a PWA and not a native app, you have to install it a bit differently. For now, the easiest way to install is to go to, https://next.d.buzz/ on Chrome or the Brave browser, and you should get a pop-up that says "Install".

If you do not get a pop up, then look in the URL bar and you will see a new icon. Here it is on Crome.

And yes, here it is on Brave via a mobile phone.

After you install

Whether you install it on your desktop, mobile device or tablet, you'll get a nice icon on your desktop to one-click access D.Buzz, along with all the additional features and accessories that go along with it.
