After my initial discovery on Alien Worlds and got over the CPU crisis, I started looking at other games in the WAX blockchain. If you've been around the WAX gaming community for a while you've probably heard about R-Planet a good amount of times. In this blog post I will do my best to inform you on everything you need to know about R-Planet and the tools that you can use to be successful in it.
What Is R-Planet?
R-Planet is probably the best Play2Earn play to game available! R-Planet is essentially a game that hasn't even come out yet, but people are making thousands of dollars already. Aether is the mineable currency in R-Planet, you can mine Aether by staking certain NFT's on their website. The game cycle currently consist of: staking and earning Aether, and then using that Aether to create elements that will reward the first 600 players who created it an NFT version of the element. These NFT's can then be staked to earn you more Aether. After the first 600 NFT's are minted, people who create these new elements will get an FT's instead which are not stakeable.
There are also other aspects of the game such as lands and mining tools. Lands produces different types of elements that will have future uses to them (such as powering robots, building structures and many more). The tools are used to produce Aether, and different tools have different amount of Aether that they can produce per hour.
Terms You Need To Be Familiar With
Aether - R-Planet's currency, a token that can be bought or sold through an exchange such as Alcor.
Rig - An NFT which are able to mine Aethers
FT - Fungible Tokens. in terms of R-Planet, these elements are not stakeable however still can be used to create other elements in the generator.
How To Play R-Planet?
You can start playing right away by going to rplanet.io. In this section I will breakdown all of R-Planet's game mechanic from creating elements, owning lands, and staking NFT's.
1. Creating Elements/Materials
Each elements have a set of combination on how you can create them. Combining different elements and materials on the generator might result into either a new material or nothing at all which will destroy all the elements that you used in the generator.

Using the generator will cost you some WAX, and on top of that getting these materials/elements will more than likely to cost you a few hundred dollars. At the time of writing this article the cheapest element you can make is a gun that will cost you 4,480,000 Aether to make, that is about 4659 WAX or $840. Making these new elements will get you a chance of getting you 5 different rarities of NFT's which gives out different types of staking values. For example, if you were to craft a gun you could have the chance of getting from 560 Ae/hour to 56,000 Ae/hour.

All NFT elements has a chance to be either a common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, or a mythic before you unpack them. There is no limit on these rarities, there could be a chance that all gun NFT's are mythic but there's also could be a chance that all fire NFT's are common.

2. Owning Lands
Lands will generate you elements passively, most of these elements usage are still to be announced in the upcoming future. However you can trade these elements into Aether through the Alcor Exchange. Land prices are currently going for about 8499 WAX or $1308 on the secondary market.

3. Staking NFT's
NFT staking can be found on rplanet.io/staking. You can stake other NFT projects other than the official NFT's from R-Planet, projects such as Alien Worlds, Dark Country, KOLOBOK, Uplift, and many other popular WAX projects are stakeable on R-Planet and will earn you Aethers. Although the amount of Aethers you can get for staking NFT's other than R-Planets's can fluctuate and can be nerfed in the future.
As time past by, there are more NFT projects that are being whitelisted to be stakeable. PumpDumpWars is the most recent project to be whitelisted, and there will be more projects to come in the future. Although, the R-Planet development team are very secretive on which project will make it into their stakeable list, you can keep a look out by joining the R-Planet official discord channel where they will be announcing all of the latest news on the project.
Staking is how most players generate their income, the current highest earner is mining about 2,068,478.7500 Aether per hour which means he is getting $269 per hour completely passively. Granted that most people do not have the same amount of money as these whales, however the pack sales that R-Planet holds plays a huge role in multiplying your portfolio by about 30 times.
You can stake NFT's by going to staking tab, and pick the project you want to stake and click the "Stake" button.

Buying NFT's and FT's
There are a lot of marketplaces where you can buy R-Planet's NFT's and FT's at, but the ones I use the most are Atomic Hub and Simple Market. Atomic Hub only lists NFT's but have a larger user base and easy to use, while Simple Market have both NFT's and FT's listed but I find the UI harder to navigate and not as clean as Atomic Hub's. Another great thing about Simple Market is that they also have listings on NFT elements that have not been unpacked, which means that you have the chance of getting a high rarity NFT from these packs. Make sure that what you're getting is worth it's price, usually a good way to measure this is to see how much aether/hour it generates and multiply that by 2.5, and that's how much it should generally cost. For example: a rig generates 150 aether/hour they should worth about 375WAX.
It is important to distinguish which ones are NFT's and which are FT's. NFT elements have borders on them that makes them look like a card, while FT's don't. Here are examples of both:

This is an unpacked NFT element listed on Simple Market.

It is also important to make sure that you're buying the real NFT's distributed by R-Planet. There has been a lot of cases where people bought the wrong NFT's that were meant to look like the original ones. The original NFT's will have a verified checklist next to the author or collection name:

and this is what it would look like on Simple Market.
Lands/Rig Pack Sales
Probably the most important thing that you need to keep a look out for. If you read my last post "R-Planet Rigs For Everyone! No More Blacklist" then you would know that there was a rig sale. These sales will be announce on all of R-Planets social media account, where they will sell a limited amount of these packs which contains either land or rig depending on the sale. These packs would only cost you around $30 for the mini pack and $120 for the mega pack. Both packs are sold for 30 times the retail price on secondary market, mini packs are currently going for $900 each and mega packs for $3400. These prices skyrocketed for good reasons, mini packs guarantees rigs that will mine atleast 1000 Ae/hour in total and mega packs will give out atleast 4000 Ae/hour.
Attending these pack sales is very crucial and they go out in seconds. There has been a rumour that land sales will happen in the month of June and I will be covering it here on my blog as soon as there is news about it.

Links To Success
There are a lot of external tools that are very crucial and handy in your R-Planet journey, from being able to calculate your earnings, breakdown spreadsheets, element generator and more. Here I will be listing what I have found useful and how to use them.
R-Planet Discord Channel
Obviously, the R-Planet discord channel is a place you need to be in. From giveaway, future content, changes, hotfixes, announcement, everything will be discussed in the official R-Planet discord channel. People also discuss undiscovered elements on the server, where they share potential combinations or failed combinations to inform the community before they try to craft their own elements and potentially wasting hundreds of dollars.
You can join their discord channel by clicking here.
Element Generator & MORE - rplanet.tools
This next tool will help you create elements with just a click of a button and let you know how much aether you need to craft them. It also lets you know how much has NFT's has been crafted and how many remains to be crafted. On the same website, it also provides other important information such as the leader board, calculator and many more.

Giveaways and Raffles are also conducted on the same site, where you can login with your wax account and join these giveaways for free.
To use R-Planet tools click here.
R-Planet Calculator
There are different calculators that are available to use. The two most useful in my opinion are rp.naw.io and rcalculator.net. The first one allows you to see how much Aether you can make with the current staking that you have, it breaks it down by hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. This site is very detailed in its breakdown and lets you know how many Aethers you can claim currently.

To use rp.naw.io click here.
rcalculator.net allows you to put a certain numbers and see how much aether that will generate you. This tool is great when you're trying to invest in an NFT and would like to see when you will hit your ROI.

Staking Values and Other Utilities
This spreadsheet breaks down all the information you need on staking. It lists all of the existing recipes, staking values, and other resources. I personally use it to see whether an NFT element is worth purchasing/crafting or not, since different elements have different staking values to them. Like for example, common garbage NFT only generates 5 Aether per hour while common money NFT generates 5,461 Aether per hour.

NFT Drop Calendar
This site is very crucial if you want to get NFT's that are cheap. This calendar will list all of the upcoming NFT sale of projects that are stakeable on R-Planet. Buying these NFT's at retail price are good for two reason, if you want to make a quick profit: sell them right away on the second market, and also buying high aether/hour stakeable NFT's for a couple of wax.

This NFT from Crypto5tache was sold for around 30+ WAX ($5.00) at retail price, and now it is worth 241 WAX ($35.55) on Atomic Hub. This NFT is currently stakeable for about 100 aether/hour. Keep in mind that these sales happen very fast and go out in seconds, make sure to make a reminder for yourself so you don't miss them.

R-Planet Roadmap and Future Plans
R-Planet roadmap is divided into 3 phases:
Phase 1: Evacuation
- NFT DEFI Aether Mining
- New Participating Projects
- SALE of the BASIC MATERIALS
- Evacuation Game Launch
- Mining Tools Sale
- Super Secret
- FT Swap
Currently we have passed Phase 1, and everything that's mentioned above has been met.
Phase 2: Colonization
- R-Planet Land Sale
- Buildings Construction
- Mars Primary Elements Mining
- Colonization Game Launch
R-Planet land sale has been done and there will be more sales to come, however anything other than that is still to be announced.
Phase 3: Conquest
- Characters Sale
- Robot Creating
- Conquest Game Launch
This phase would more than likely to come out by the end of the year or by 2022.
The roadmap only listed things that are currently being planned, however nothing is certain and things might change anytime.
How Does R-Planet Make Money?
It is a question that you need to be asking in every project. Like any other projects in the WAX blockchain, their main source of income that is known to the public has to be the fees from marketplace. When you are selling NFT's a percentage of your sales will be cut into the fees, in the case of R-Planet the market fee is 8%. Here is the secondary market volume for R-Planet on Atomic Hub:

Aas you can see on the 22nd of May R-Planet's market volume went up to 12,256,366 WAX, 8% of that would mean 980,509.28 WAX or about $151,265 in a single day, and that's just from Atomic Hub.
